Common crab apple: Wild crab: A small deciduous rounded tree or large shrub, with mid-green broadly elliptic leaves up to 8 cm long. White flowers, suffused pink up to 5cm across, are produced in late spring, followed by yellowish green, or red-flushed fruits up to 3cm across, in autumn.
