Beard tongue - An upright, semi-evergreen perennial up to 70cm tall, with narrow, mid-green leaves and stout stems with bell-shaped attractive two-tone white and pink flowers, which are attractive to bees. The flowers are produced from midsummer into autumn. Plant in full sun or partial shade, in moist, well drained soil. In cold areas protect overwinter with a dry winter mulch. Hardiness rating H4.
