Lilac: A low maintenance, deciduous upright shrub growing up to 4-5m tall. Green heart shaped leaves appear in spring, followed by very prolific cone-shaped clusters of highly fragrant pale purple or pink flowers in mid-May or early June. Attractive to bees and other pollenating insects. Plant in moist, well drained alkaline or neutral soil, in full sun or partial shade. Hardiness rating H6.
