Taxus × media ‘Hillii’ is a superb evergreen conifer prized for its dense, upright, columnar form and year-round deep green foliage. A hybrid yew, ‘Hillii’ combines exceptional hardiness with refined, architectural beauty, making it a favourite for both formal and contemporary landscapes.

This slow-growing, low-maintenance variety produces tight, glossy needles and maintains a naturally tidy shape, requiring very little pruning to stay neat. Unlike its female counterpart (‘Hicksii’), ‘Hillii’ is a male cultivar and does not produce berries, making it ideal for gardens where fruit drop is undesirable.

Perfect for hedging, screening, foundation planting, or as a structural specimen, ‘Hillii’ thrives in sun or shade and is highly tolerant of pruning, pollution, and variable soil conditions—creating an elegant, long-lasting feature in almost any setting.
