Olive: A native of Mediterranean countries, the Olive forms a large evergreen shrub or small tree, with leathery grey-green leaves. Fragrant small white flowers are produced in late summer, although fruit is not usually produced unless the conditions are favourable. It is tolerant of drought and forms a magnificent trunk as it ages. Due to their longevity they help clean the air, and also help with carbon sequestration.
