A large, fast-growing hardy shrub, ideal for creating shelter and will tolerate maritime areas. Large metallic green leaves with silvery underside. Fragrant, scaly flowers appear in autumn followed by orange fruits in spring. A valuable plant for hedging, even in exposed areas. Plant in full sun or partial shade in any moist, well drained soil, but does not like shallow chalky soils. Hardiness rating H5. At certain times of the year the trees and plants that you buy from us may not look like the images shown on our website, this may be due to deciduous leaves falling, or the plant finishing flowering. All photographs on our website are of our own grown stock, or in the case of Italian specimens, these are photographs of the plants actually in stock.
