Frost’s Nurseries are proud to grow top-quality trees, shrubs and hardy ornamental nursery stock to the general public, landscapers, plant nurseries, local councils and property developers.
We stock a comprehensive range of plants grown at our own nursery or sourced from other UK and continental nurseries. Varieties of evergreen trees and shrubs for screening and hedging are imported from specially selected European suppliers.
Our rigorous standards of quality control, and our attention to production costs, allow our customers to be assured that they are receiving the healthiest of plants at the most competitive of prices. Our well trained, knowledgeable and friendly staff are able to provide excellent customer service and attention to detail.

Ann worked in a local firm of stock brokers, firstly as a junior in the stock transfer department working her way to the position of secretary to the senior partner. During 1977, Ann jointly formed D.W.Frost (Wholesale Nurseries) Ltd with her husband David, having previously assisted with the running of David Frost (Trees) Ltd, which included a garden centre, nursery and landscaping department. Knowing very little about plants, Ann had to learn very quickly and through 47 years running the office and working in the plant centre when required, Ann has gained considerable experience in the industry. Ann now oversees the running of the office and attends to all HR issues and other duties that fall outside the remit of the other staff.
Tom joined the company as the Nursery Manager in early 2023 after several years owning his own business. Tom’s job role consists of overseeing the dispatch and production staff to ensure that our high-quality standards are being met. On busier days Tom can be found helping to pick orders ready for customer deliveries or collection and taking charge of nursery maintenance jobs.
Arianna joined the team in July 2022, having previously worked in Administration. After completing a Bachelor’s degree in Photography, she flipped her career path and dived into the horticultural sector. Arianna has a passion for tropical house plants so when the opportunity came up to expand her knowledge to outdoor plants, she took it. As well as processing orders and deliveries, she is able to talk with customers and advise them on picking the right plants for their garden. Arianna also supervises the day to day running of the plant centre whilst making sure the centre is looking lovely with colourful displays.
Shem started working at D.W.Frost (Wholesale Nurseries) Ltd in November 2015, as a sales administrator having previously worked as a sales assistant in the retail sector. After 8 years working as the Sales Administrator, Shem became the new Sales Manager. Shem’s role consists of quoting customer plant enquiries by email or over the phone and then organising the transport and the dispatching of the orders. Having graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Education Studies and English, Shem had no previous experience in the horticultural sector and had to learn everything from scratch.

It is important to us that your order arrives safely; local orders will be delivered by our own transport where possible, nationwide deliveries will be made by our reputable transport partners.

We grow an extensive selection of plants, including a range of shrubs, perennials, grasses and container grown trees. To complement our home-grown stock, we also import a comprehensive range of high-quality exotic plants such as olive and palm trees, pleached trees and topiary shapes. These are specially selected for you from our trusted European suppliers.
