Japanese blood grass - A deciduous grass, forming a loose clump of erect, linear green leaves which are intensely suffused with deep red. Narrow silvery flower panicles are produced in late summer. Plant in moist, well drained clay or loam, in full sun or partial shade. Hardiness rating H4.
