Californian Lilac - An evergreen, fast growing shrub up to 1.8-2m high with large glossy, oval, dark green leaves up to 3cm long. Masses of bright indigo-blue flowers up to 5cm long are produced in mid to late spring. Can be grown as a single specimen, against a wall or as an informal evergreen hedge. Plant in full sun in a moist, well drained soil. Drought resistant when established. Hardiness rating H4. At certain times of the year the trees and plants that you buy from us may not look like the images shown on our website, this may be due to deciduous leaves falling, or the plant finishing flowering.
