Fuji Cherry: A small, slow-growing, deciduous, upright shrub or occasionally a small tree up to 2.5m tall, with zigzag branches. Single flowers 1.5cm wide with white or palest pink petals, becoming deeper pink in the centre. Mid-green, lance shaped leaves appear after the flowers, which have beautiful autumn tints. Makes an unusual hedge. Long used by the Japanese for Bonsai. Plant in all types of moist, well drained soil, in full sun. Hardiness rating H6.
