Japanese Maple: A large, deciduous, bushy shrub up to 3m high, with deep, purple-red leaves, with 5-7 slender, pointed lobes in spring and summer, turning red in autumn. Small purple flowers are followed by red fruits. This is one of the best purple leaved Japanese maples. Plant in moist, well drained acid or neutral soil, in full sun or partial shade. Hardiness rating H6.
