A clump-forming, deciduous, upright perennial with bronze-green leaves. Scarlet red two-lipped flowers are borne on upright stems from summer through until the autumn. Height 0.5-1m. Plant in moist or poorly drained acid, alkaline or neutral soil, in full sun or partial shade. Hardiness rating H5.
