Christmas berry:  A fast growing evergreen upright shrub up to 2.5-4m, with thick, leathery, oblong leaves with undulating edges.   This is a very popular variety for hedges and screens, as it has a thicker and more dense habit that Photinia ‘Red Robin’.   The new young leaves emerge in spring are a strong bright coppery red, followed by creamy white flowers which are sometimes followed by red berries.   Plant in moist, well drained acid or neutral soil in full sun or partial shade.   Hardiness rating H4.
