French lavender: A dwarf, compact, bushy evergreen shrub growing up to around 40cm high, with aromatic narrow, grey-green leaves.   Small fragrant dark purple flowers, topped with feathery purple bracts, are carried on slender upright stems in summer.   Plant in moist, well drained acid, alkaline or neutral soil in full sun.   Drought resistant when established.   Hardiness rating H4. At certain times of the year the trees and plants that you buy from us may not look like the images shown on our website, this may be due to deciduous leaves falling, or the plant finishing flowering.
