Ligustrum vulgare

Wild privet:  A partially evergreen or semi-evergreen, bushy shrub, with dark green, lance-shaped leaves.   Terminal clusters of small, white, strongly-scented flowers appear in summer, followed by small, shining black berries in autumn.   Plant in moist well drained soil, thrives particularly well in chalk soils, in full sun or partial shade.   Hardiness rating H6.   If planting for hedging, plant 5 per metre for a single row, and 7 per metre for a double staggered row.

Sold in bundles of 10/25 whips.

0+1 A two year field grown plant from seed, grown for two seasons in the same seed bed, and undercut after the first year to develop the root structure.
