Ilex aquifolium ‘Alaska’ Holly: A small tree of narrowly-conical habit, growing up to around 6m tall, with glossy, dark green, spiny leaves. Small, inconspicuous white flowers appear in spring and summer, which are attractive to bees and other pollinating insects, and are followed by bright red fruits, even on young plants. These plants lend themselves well to hedging and topiary. Plant in moist, well drained acid, alkaline or neutral soil in full sun or partial shade. Hardiness rating H6.
