Phormium cookianum sub. hookeri ‘Tricolor’ Mountain flax:  An evergreen perennial forming a large clump of sword shaped upright leaves which are beautifully striped green and cream with red margins.   Large panicles of yellowish-green flowers appear on mature plants in summer.   This plant will create a stunning focal point and bring a tropical and contemporary feel to any garden.   Plant in moist, well drained acid, alkaline or neutral soil in full sun.   Hardiness rating H4.
