Phormium ‘Gold Ray’ Flax lily:  A large, clump-forming perennial up to 2m tall, with upright, sometimes arching, sword-like, mid green leaves with greyish green stripes and creamy yellow margins which are sometimes tinged with orange or red.   Panicles of yellow flowers in erect stems may be produced in summer on mature plants.   These plants will produce a splash of colour throughout the year and provide a strong architectural contrast with other plants.   Plant in moist, well drained acid, alkaline or neutral soil in full sun or partial shade.   Hardiness rating H4. At certain times of the year the trees and plants that you buy from us may not look like the images shown on our website, this may be due to deciduous leaves falling, or the plant finishing flowering.
