Pennisetum alopecuroides ‘Cassian’

Chinese Fountain Grass:  An evergreen, clump-forming grass up to around 1m tall, with narrow, arching green leaves which turn shades of rich yellow and orange in autumn.   Pink flushed reddish-brown bottle-brush like flower plumes are borne on tall stems from summer to autumn.   This grass is suitable for various landscapes, including moist areas and also slopes to help with erosion control.   Plant in moist, well drained acid, alkaline or neutral soil in full sun.   Hardiness rating H3.
