Acorus gramineus ‘Ogon’

£6.60

Acorus gramineus Ogon Slender sweet flag:  A compact, semi-evergreen perennial, forming a clump up to 30cm tall, with narrow, striking golden yellow and olive green, sword-shaped leaves, which have a sweet fragrance when bruised.   Inconspicuous yellow-green flowers appear in spring and early summer, and are followed by tiny reddish berries.   This plant prefers moist to wet soil, and can also be planted in water, so is often used in water gardens, bogs and along the edges of ponds and streams.   Plant in full sun in poorly drained acid, alkaline or neutral soil.   Hardiness rating H6.

At certain times of the year the trees and plants that you buy from us may not look like the images shown on our website, this may be due to deciduous leaves falling, or the plant finishing flowering.

All photographs on our website are of our own grown stock, or in the case of Italian specimens, these are photographs of the plants actually in stock.
