Carex comens ‘Mint Curls’ New Zealand Hair Sedge:   An evergreen perennial with dense evergreen clumps of slender, shimmering, silvery-green leaves.   It has a compact habit, growing between 0.1 and 0.5metres tall and with a similar spread.   Inconspicuous whitish green flower spikes around 45cm high appear from June to February.   This sedge is easy to cultivate in well drained fertile soils, but will not tolerate excessive wet in winter.   Plant in well drained acid, alkaline or neutral soil in full sun or partial shade.   Hardiness rating H4. At certain times of the year the trees and plants that you buy from us may not look like the images shown on our website, this may be due to deciduous leaves falling, or the plant finishing flowering.
