Salix integra ‘Hakuro-nishiki’

Flamingo willow:  A deciduous shrub or small tree with branches that droop slightly at the tips which will reach a height and spread of around 2.5m.   Yellow catkins, which provide nectar and pollen for bees and other pollinating insects, are borne on the bare stems in spring before the lance-shaped narrow leaves up to 10cm long, emerging pink and then maturing to variegated shades of creamy-white and pink and green, then maturing to mainly green with age.   Plant in moist, well drained acid, alkaline or neutral soil in full sun.   Hardiness rating H5.
