Prunus subhirtella ‘Pendula Rubra’

Prunus x subhirtella ‘Pendula Rubra’ A lovely small, deciduous weeping cherry growing up to around 4m in height.   The arching, pendulous branches carry dark green leaves which turn orange and red in autumn.   Masses of single deep rose-pink/carmine flowers are produced on the arching branches, in early spring, before the leaves emerge, and are attractive to bees and other pollinating insects.  This small tree is ideal for small gardens or courtyards and thrives well in all types of moist, well drained soil in full sun.   Hardiness rating H6. At certain times of the year the trees and plants that you buy from us may not look like the images shown on our website, this may be due to deciduous leaves falling, or the plant finishing flowering. All photographs on our website are of our own grown stock, or in the case of Italian specimens or bare root hedging, these are photographs of the plants actually in stock.
