Hydrangea macrophylla ‘Fire Wings’

Hydrangea macrophylla ‘Fire Wings’ – Part of the Royalty Collection A new variety of hydrangea, a small and compact, deciduous, hardy shrub with glossy green leaves.   The mophead florets open green, turning to globular heads of florets with green centres and deep red edges, finally changing to completely red florets during summer and autumn, so no two blooms are the same.  Thrives in moist fertile acid, alkaline or neutral soils, in full sun or partial shade.   Suitable for planting in pots, baskets and borders.   Remove old flower heads in spring to encourage abundant flowering.   Water frequently.   Hardiness rating H5. At certain times of the year the trees and plants that you buy from us may not look like the images shown on our website, this may be due to deciduous leaves falling, or the plant finishing flowering. All photographs on our website are of our own grown stock, or in the case of Italian specimens or bare root hedging, these are photographs of the plants actually in stock.
