Daphne ‘Perfume Princess White’

Daphne ‘Perfume Princess White’ An evergreen, compact, dense, bushy upright shrub with pointed glossy green leaves.   Lovely scented white flowers are borne along the stem as well as each branch tip, blooming from mid-winter to spring, and are attractive to bees and other pollinating insects.   Daphnes prefer to be planted in the ground rather than containers as they enjoy a deeper, cooler root run.  Pruning should be kept to a minimum as the plant is susceptible to die-back, but may be lightly trimmed after flowering to remove misplaced branches to maintain a compact habit. Plant in moist, well drained fertile acid, alkaline or neutral soil in full sun or semi-shade, and shelter from cold, drying winds.   Hardiness rating H5.
