£72.00

Quercus robur English Oak: Common Oak:  A large, deciduous, long lived, native tree, possibly reaching a mature height of 20-40m, with a broad crown.   Shallowly lobed, dark green leaves are produced, which turn reddish-brown in autumn.   Lon, yellow-green, inconspicuous catkins appear in spring, followed by green acorns, which ripen to brown.   An important food source and shelter for a range of small mammals, birds and insects.   Plant in all types of moist, well drained soil, in full sun or partial shade.   Hardiness rating H6. At certain times of the year the trees and plants that you buy from us may not look like the images shown on our website, this may be due to deciduous leaves falling, or the plant finishing flowering. All photographs on our website are of our own grown stock, or in the case of Italian specimens, these are photographs of the plants actually in stock. FOR DELIVERY CHARGE PLEASE CALL 01949 21402
