Prunus avium

Wild Cherry – Gean - A medium to large spreading, deciduous native tree and one of the most attractive of our native woodland trees, with smooth, grey bark which turns mahogany-red and peeling with age.   The single, white, cup shaped flowers open with the leaves in late April or early May, followed by small shiny reddish- purple fruits.   Crimson autumn foliage.   Plant in full sun in moist, well drained soil.   Hardiness rating H6.

Sold in bundles of 10/25 whips.
