Olea europaea
Olive: A native of Mediterranean countries, the Olive forms a large evergreen shrub or small tree, with leathery grey-green leaves. Fragrant small white flowers are produced in late summer, although fruit is not usually produced unless the conditions are favourable. It is tolerant of drought and forms a magnificent trunk as it ages. Due to their longevity they help clean the air, and also help with carbon sequestration. Plant in all types of moist, well drained soils, in full sun. Hardiness rating H4.
We would advise that you will also need a stake, tie, compost and Mona Relief watering system with this tree.
At certain times of the year the trees and plants that you buy from us may not look like the images shown on our website, this may be due to deciduous leaves falling, or the plant finishing flowering.
All photographs on our website are of our own grown stock, or in the case of Italian specimens or bare root hedging, these are photographs of the plants actually in stock.
