Monarda didyma ‘Melua Rose’

A clump forming herbaceous perennial up to 90cm with medium to deep green, aromatic ovate- lanceolate shaped leaves with serrated margins which have terminal whorls of rose pink, two lipped flowers, produced from mid to late summer. Leaves emit a minty fragrance when crushed. Dead head regularly and cut down stems to ground level in early autumn. Plant in full sun or partial shade in humus rich, light, moist well drained soil. Protect from wet during winter, but do not allow to dry out during summer. Hardiness rating is H5.
