£11.50

Salvia ‘Amistad’ An upright, bushy perennial up to 1.2m in height, with slightly downy, corrugated, slender, bright green leaves with pointed ends.   Large deep purple tubular flowers with black calyces, are profusely borne from early summer through to the first frosts.   Plant in light, moderately fertile, well drained soil.   Needs a sheltered position, but will usually overwinter if given full sun and good drainage.   Remove flower spikes as they fade to prolong flowering.   Drought tolerant. Hardiness rating is H3. At certain times of the year the trees and plants that you buy from us may not look like the images shown on our website, this may be due to deciduous leaves falling, or the plant finishing flowering. All photographs on our website are of our own grown stock, or in the case of Italian specimens or bare root hedging, these are photographs of the plants actually in stock.
