Californian Lilac - An evergreen, fast growing shrub up to 1.8-2m high with large glossy, oval, dark green leaves up to 3cm long. Masses of bright indigo-blue flowers up to 5cm long are produced in mid to late spring. Can be grown as a single specimen, against a wall or as an informal evergreen hedge. Plant in full sun in a moist, well drained soil. Drought resistant when established. Hardiness rating H4.
