Oleaster: A dense, vigorous, upright, evergreen shrub up to 2.5m high, ideal for creating shelter even in maritime positions. Broad, leathery, dark green leaves with silvery scales beneath, and bright yellow margins. Small, silvery, fragrant white flowers appear in autumn, followed by orange fruits with silvery freckles, in spring. Plant in all types of moist, well drained soil, in full sun or partial shade. Hardiness rating H5.
