Prickly heath, Lily of the Valley tree:  A lovely dwarf evergreen shrub forming dense thickets of wiry stems around 60cm high, with sharply pointed, dark green leaves.   Masses of small bell-shaped white flowers are produced in May and June, which are followed by dense clusters of showy red, white or pink berries in autumn.   Plant in moist, well drained acid or neutral soil in full or partial shade.   Hardiness rating H6.
