It forms a dense, rounded plant with small, glossy leaves in soft green, edged with creamy white and flushed pink, particularly in cooler weather and new growth. In summer, short spikes of lilac to pale purple flowers appear above the foliage, attracting pollinators and adding seasonal interest.
Growing to around 60–80cm in height and spread, Hebe ‘Tricolor’ is well suited to borders, low hedging, and patio containers. It prefers a sunny or lightly shaded position in free-draining soil and benefits from shelter from cold, drying winds. Hardy in most mild UK areas, it may require some winter protection in colder regions.
Low maintenance and easy to grow, Hebe ‘Tricolor’ provides year-round colour and structure, fitting beautifully into contemporary, coastal, and mixed planting schemes.
