Climbing Hydrangea - A vigorous, strong growing deciduous, self-clinging, climbing shrub up to 18-25m in suitable trees. Excellent climber for north facing or other shady wall. Can also be grown as a picturesque, free standing shrub. Coarsely toothed, elliptic leaves appear in spring, followed by corymbs of dull greenish white flowers up to 15-25cm across, with several large, white sterile florets along the margin in June. Plant in semi shade in moist, well drained soil, will not thrive in hot dry conditions. Hardiness rating H5.
