Leucothoe ‘Zeblid’ (Scarletta) A small evergreen spreading shrub up to around 1-1.2m tall, forming an attractive dome shaped plant.   The arching branches carry slender leaves up to 10cm long by 3.5cm wide which are dark green and slightly edged with red when young, and turning deep bronze-red in winter, and can appear almost metallic in the sun.   Small, white bell-shaped flowers are borne along the stems in late spring.   This is an acid loving plant so must be planted in moist, well drained acid soil or ericaceous compost, in full or partial shade.   Hardiness rating H6. At certain times of the year the trees and plants that you buy from us may not look like the images shown on our website, this may be due to deciduous leaves falling, or the plant finishing flowering.
