A compact evergreen with erect habit up to 2.5m tall. Glossy, lanceolate leaves are brilliant red when young, which later turn dark green. Panicles of small, creamy-white flowers are borne in spring. Thrives in moist, well drained soils, but avoid clay soils. Hardiness rating H5. At certain times of the year the trees and plants that you buy from us may not look like the images shown on our website, this may be due to deciduous leaves falling, or the plant finishing flowering.
