Christmas Berry: A large, vigorous, evergreen shrub, with toothed, glossy leaves which emerge bright red-purple when young, and turn dark green in summer. Panicles of white flowers appear in summer, followed by red berries in the autumn. Plant in moist, well drained acid, alkaline or neutral soil, but avoid clay soils. Plant in full sun or partial shade. Hardiness rating H6.
