Lily of the Valley shrub: A lovely, ornamental, small evergreen shrub up to 60cm, requiring similar treatment to rhododendrons. Small, dark green leaves have a narrow creamy white margin. Small sparse flower panicles are formed in late autumn, pink in bud, eventually opening to fragrant white flowers in March and April. Plant in moist, well drained soil in sun or partial shade. This is an acid loving plant so requires an acid soil and ericaceous compost. Hardiness rating H5.
