A compact, dense mound forming dwarf conifer, with stiff, upward facing branches which are heavily clothed with yellow tipped, dark green, slightly twisted needles. Small ovoid brown cones appear in autumn. Attractive to bees and other pollinating insects. 0.1-0.5m ultimate height and spread in twenty years. Plant in all types of moist, well drained soil in full sun or partial shade. Hardiness rating H7.
