Cherry laurel - A vigorous evergreen shrub of dense, bushy habit, with large, glossy leaves, which can become tree-like up to 5m tall if not pruned. Upright spikes of small white flowers are produced in spring, followed by clusters of shiny, dark red to black berries. Plant in full sun or partial shade, in moist, well drained soil. Drought resistant when established. Hardiness rating H6.
