Rosmarinus off. ‘Pointe du Raz’

Rosmarinus officinale ‘Pointe du Raz’ A vigorous, evergreen spreading ground cover shrub, with dark green aromatic leaves, with pale felted undersides.   This plant forms a dense carpet of needle-like leaves which release a lovely pine-like fragrance when brushed against, and grows to a height between 0.5 and 1m and spreading up to 1.5m meters.   Small blue flowers are produced in late spring and early summer, which are attractive to bees and other pollinating insects.   Plant in most types of well drained alkaline to neutral soil, but avoid heavy clay or waterlogged conditions to prevent root rot.   This plant thrives in full sun and is suitable for Mediterranean style gardens and coastal locations.   Drought tolerant once established but would benefits from regular watering during prolonged dry periods.   Hardiness rating H4.
