Schizophragma hydrangeoides ‘Moonlight’

£19.25

Schizophragma hydrangeoides ‘Moonlight’ Japanese hydrangea vine:  A deciduous, woody, vigorous climber growing up to 12m tall, and attaches to surfaces using adhesive rootlets, making it ideal for climbing trees, arbors or walls.   The silvery, blue-green leaves appear in early spring followed in summer by sprays of small, creamy-white flowers which are surrounded by large, white sterile florets, which are similar to a lace-cap hydrangea.    This plant is best suited for areas with dappled sunlight, partial shade or full shade, but will tolerate full sun.   Prune in late winter to early spring to control the size, and encourage healthy growth, although it will only require minimal pruning once established.   Plant in rich, moist, well drained acid, alkaline or neutral soil.   Hardiness rating H5. At certain times of the year the trees and plants that you buy from us may not look like the images shown on our website, this may be due to deciduous leaves falling, or the plant finishing flowering. All photographs on our website are of our own grown stock, or in the case of Italian specimens or bare root hedging, these are photographs of the plants actually in stock.
