Spiraea japonica ‘Dark Magic’

£16.25

Spiraea japonica ‘Dark Magic’ This new variety of Spiraea is outstanding, as it produces nearly black young leaves in spring, which mature to a rich bronze-purple which remains throughout the summer.   Small pink flowerheads are borne from June onwards.   It grows to around 0.6m tall and wide with a bushy habit.   Plant in moist, well drained acid, alkaline or neutral soil, in full sun or partial shade.   Suitable for mixed borders, low hedges or containers, and benefits from pruning after flowering to keep its shape tidy.   Hardiness rating H6. At certain times of the year the trees and plants that you buy from us may not look like the images shown on our website, this may be due to deciduous leaves falling, or the plant finishing flowering. All photographs on our website are of our own grown stock, or in the case of Italian specimens or bare root hedging, these are photographs of the plants actually in stock.
