Lilac:  A deciduous, bushy, compact rounded shrub up to 1.5m tall, with rich green, small, oval leaves.   Dense sprays of star-like lavender-pink flowers, the blossoms are so profuse that they cover the whole bush in the spring.   After a short rest period they repeat bloom intermittently through autumn.   Attractive to bees, butterflies and other pollinating insects.  Plant in moist, well drained alkaline or neutral soil in full sun.  Hardiness rating H6. At certain times of the year the trees and plants that you buy from us may not look like the images shown on our website, this may be due to deciduous leaves falling, or the plant finishing flowering.
