Red Guelder Rose - Snowball Tree: A large, vigorous shrub up to 2.5-4 metres high, with maple-like, 3-5 lobed, dark green leaves, which are purplish-red tinted in autumn. An abundance of globular, creamy white flower heads up to 6cm across, are produced in late spring and early summer. The flowers are sterile, so no fruits are produced. One of the most attractive and popular flowering shrubs. Will tolerate hard pruning. Plant in moist, well drained, rich fertile soil, in full sun or partial shade. Hardiness rating H6.
