A compact evergreen shrub, with grey-green leaves with irregular white margins.   Small, dark purple, honey-scented flowers are carried in clusters in late spring and early summer.   The natural spherical shape of this plant makes it very suitable for clipping for topiary, and is a good alternative for Buxus balls.   Plant in moist, well drained acid, alkaline or neutral soil in full sun or partial shade.   Hardiness rating H4.
