Japanese privet - A compact, medium-sized, upright evergreen shrub or small tree up to 4m tall, with very dense, camellia-like foliage, which are olive green to dark green and waxy, and may be up to 10cm long. Large conical panicles of small, scented white flowers are borne from mid-summer until early autumn, followed by clusters of small, round, black berries. An excellent plant for screening.
