Evergreen Oak - Holly Oak - Holm Oak - A large evergreen tree with attractive, corrugated bark and a rounded head of branches. The leathery, glossy dark green leaves are greyish-downy beneath. The leaves vary in shape and may be smooth or toothed. Yellow catkins are produced during June. Responds well to trimming and will tolerate shade. Excellent for coastal planting and will make a magnificent evergreen hedge which is resistant to sea winds. Thrives in any moist, well drained soil in full sun or partial shade. Hardiness rating H4. We would advise that you will also need a stake, tie and Mona Relief watering system with this tree.
