Himalayan birch - A medium sized attractive, deciduous tree with ascending branches and striking white, peeling bark. The leaves are larger than the common birch, and turn yellow in autumn. Yellow-brown male catkins up to 12cm long are borne on the tree in spring. Plant in most types of moist, well drained soils, in full sun or partial shade. Hardiness rating H7.
We would advise that you will also need a stake, tie and Mona Relief watering system with this tree.
At certain times of the year the trees and plants that you buy from us may not look like the images shown on our website, this may be due to deciduous leaves falling, or the plant finishing flowering.
All photographs on our website are of our own grown stock, or in the case of Italian specimens, these are photographs of the plants actually in stock.
As this is a large tree we will only be able to arrange delivery for post codes within a 50 mile radius of NG13 8JA. Please call 01949 21402 for a delivery charge quotation.
